While pursuing a BFA at the New York School of Interior Design, a field trip to the luxury kitchen showrooms of the A&D building during a fluke elective course on residential kitchen and bath design unexpectedly turned out to be day-one of a 25 year career in high-end, residential kitchen, interior design, and project development; the last 10 years of which have been via her own firm, Jennifer Paolino Designs, “JPD”.  

 

Over the course of  these 25 years, Jenn cultivated a strong knowledge base in engineering and construction that enables her to be a bridge between a client’s finished aesthetic preferences, and the various aspects of construction necessary to achieve them.  JPD’s private, luxury cabinetry line, along with Jenn’s broad design capabilities make her uniquely able to tailor her project involvement in a way that allows her to collaborate fluidly, and harmoniously with other design and trade professionals already on a project, or as the sole designer.

 

Specializing in high-end kitchens, and complex space planning & design, many of JPD’s projects have provided Jenn with numerous opportunities to design and create one of a kind, project specific interior architectural details, furniture, lighting fixtures, and rugs.  In Jenn’s words, “The answer is never “no”; it is merely a challenge of “how”.”  By far, her favorite aspect of design is the moment when inspiration begins to reveal exactly “how” something IS possible.  This openness has led JPD to connect and collaborate with artists, artisans, and innovators from all over the world to bring Jenn’s ideas to life.
