How we work
Initial consultation
We begin with a design consultation meeting where we listen deeply to the client’s ideas, needs, and design goals. Every project is unique, therefore is it crucial to get a clear sense of the project’s scope of work, and budget.
Proposal
We will provide a detailed written proposal reflecting back the scope of work as we understand it, and the terms of our proposed services and compensation; including an initial design retainer required to commence work.
Design Process
Upon formal acceptance of our proposal, and receipt of the initial design retainer payment, we will dive deeply into designing the spaces and elements outlined in our proposal. Again, every project is unique, yet in most cases this includes creating detailed drawings, renderings, and pulling together a comprehensive design package of possible selections for all agreed upon furnishings, fixtures, materials.
We work collaboratively with our clients, listening to their feedback, we hone the designs until they not only meet their needs functionally, but are reflective of each client’s personal aesthetic preferences.
Purchasing/Order Placement
Once a design is finalized, and approved by the client, JPD will collect payment for the agreed upon materials/ furnishings/ cabinetry /materials. Payment terms will vary depending on what is being ordered. In stock items will require payment in full. Custom, and made to order items will require an initial deposit to place the order, and final payment before being released for delivery.
Production
JPD will facilitate the production process for all approved custom elements with relevant artisans, fabricators, and manufacturers.
Jobsite Preparation Coordination
JPD will communicate with all relevant construction professionals, and provide all necessary support information in the form of drawings and specifications to enable the jobsite to be prepared appropriately for final installations.
Delivery & Installation Phase
During this time, we work hand in hand with all jobsite professionals and the client to ensure installations go smoothly. We help troubleshoot and solve any bumps along the way, and provide constant updates to all involved.
